PROJECT CASE STUDIES - EQUINE HORSE TRAINING FACILITIES

Equine horse training facilities

Our company has extensive experience with treating water for horse training pools. This experience includes the design and construction of the Caulfield Racecourse, Ballarat Racecourse, Geelong Racecourse, Mornington Racecourse Brighton Training Facility (Hobart) horse training pool water treatment systems.
These pools are very heavily loaded given the fact that horse faecal matter is straw based and has a tendency to bind together. Our experience has demonstrated that the filtration needs to match the volume of horses per day to the size of the training facility.
With the value of the equine subjects that use these facilities it is imperative that the water treatment is very sound and that disinfection within the water is achieved.
It is important to provide a series of screenings to ensure that mechanical filtration such as medium rate sand filters can work efficiently over a swimming session and then have a recovery time.
